| I started Nan's Nummies at the Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market in 1988. After a couple of weeks there I just couldn't make cookies fast enough. I would sell out in 2 hours! So I started looking for a storefront and opened my store in Historic Valley Junction the following spring. I started with about 8 kinds of cookies and over the years have added brownies and bars, Dutch Letters, candy, cakes and fudge. I have moved to bigger locations in Valley Junction twice and also expanded my store twice! In 2001 I added the M&M Colorworks line of 21 colors of M&M's, now called MY M&M's. Now I have added this website to help serve you better.
