We ship all our baked items, candies and gifts via USPS. Orders received by 2:00 pm will be sent out the same day. Otherwise orders will be processed for the following day. Please keep this in mind when determining an arrival date for your shipment. Also, you cannot include weekends, holidays or the actual shipment day when determining the number of days it will take for your gift to arrive.
Requested Delivery Dates:
Your order will always be shipped from our store to arrive on your requested delivery date according to the time in transit guidelines from USPS. Although rare, we do not accept responsibility for USPS failing to deliver the package according to their guaranteed number of days. USPS does not guarantee a time of delivery on ground or 3 day select shipments. To ensure your package arrives before a specified time, you must ship via Next Day Air or Second Day Air am. If time is extremely critical, it is advised you contact us at 1-515-277-2201 to verify the guaranteed delivery time by USPS.
Business Days:
Please note that all delivery days refer to business days, Monday through Friday.
Unable to Ship:
We are unable to ship to international addresses.
Cut Off Time for Daily Orders:
In most cases, orders must be placed by 2:00 pm for shipping orders to be shipped that same day.
Order Times for Holidays:
Due to the abundance of holiday orders from November 15th through December 24th, orders must be placed at least 3 business days in advance to assure on time delivery. For orders over 10 items during this period, orders must be placed at a minimum of 5 business days ahead.
Undeliverable Packages:
Any package that is unable to be delivered due to incorrect information, untimely pick-up by recipient or recipient no longer at address, which is then returned to Nans Nummies, will not be refunded and will only by re-shipped at customers request and cost. Regarding untimely pick-up, USPS will deliver the package at the delivery address without a signature unless the driver determines that the location is not sufficiently secure. If this happens, USPS will attempt to make a delivery up to three times. On the third attempt a notice will be left for the recipient to pick up the package at the USPS depot. If delivery does not happen after these attempts are made, the perishable package will be sent back to Nans Nummies.
For Hospital Deliveries:
You must specify a room number. We are not responsible for gifts once they arrive at the hospital loading dock. It is solely the responsibility of the hospital to arrange delivery to a specific room.
For Hotel Deliveries:
You must specify a room number as well as provide the hotel phone number. We are not responsible for gifts after they arrive to the hotel. It is solely the responsibility of the hotel to get the package to the hotel guest.
Local Des Moines Delivery:
Local delivery is available in the Des Moines area. Standard deliveries are made Mon- Fri. There is a standard delivery rate of $7.00 within our local delivery area. We reserve the right to ship cookie and brownie orders via USPS within our local delivery area. In most cases, orders must be placed by 2:00 pm for local delivery orders to go out the following delivery day.
